Rumbel has FINALLY reached the epic Benizakura arc of Gintama!! Omg commense fangirling! As much as I didnt want too I actually stayed away from this raw and any talk about it since I didnt want to ruin it before it was subbed. 58 was released and words CANNOT DESCRIBE THE AWESOMENESS!! I wish I had screens since Takasugi finally shows up!! Next to Katsura and Hijitake, Takasugi is my fav character which is interesting since he's only been shown in flashbacks up til this point I think ~~dark haired kimono wearing badass ftw~~~ XD (Though I did watch 101-105 raw and he was in that but that doesnt count XD) Plus his seiyuu is Luck Gandor (Baccano!), Neuro (Nougami Neuro).

I hope Rumbel kicks out 59-61 pretty fast since they have been getting the subs out on a pretty regular basis and most Gintama fans have been waiting for this! 8D

Seriously Im so psyched right now 8D If anyone has a really good pic of Takasugi, show me since I must iconize him!!

Edit: One more thing! Ive been lured into watching Macross Frontier for the promise of tsundere bishie 8D Alto-hime fits this! Wasnt even gonna try it since Im not a mecha fan but my fellow mod 4Tran over on AS made a comment that Alto fits tsundere-bishie category so I chked out his character thread. Pretty good looking, though Im not overly fangirling on him but he's emo and cute and I love when he's referred to as "hime" so Ill stick with Macross for now. Only thing...Sheryl annoys me.

To-do list

Hubby is going out of town for a race this weekend, he leaves tonight and I actually have tomorrow and Sunday off and only plan on working a few hours on Sat 8D. So expect me to be online alot this weekend (since Ill be bored outta my skull). Actually logged onto irc today for the first time in over a week. My chann was dead of course but nice to see its still here. (Dest I miss you T_T). I might log onto Skype on Fri or Sat but dont hold me to that.

So Ive devised alittle to-do list for myself...

1-Finish TTGL, Im right at the time-skip and gawd I want to see the dream sequence.
2-Finish any other random anime I need too XD
3-Write my fict for reborn_flashfic (gah I got the worst prompts...none of the pairings I write...this is gonna be difficult...) ~~and it was due yesterday! I fail!~~
4-Try to work the 3 ongoing ficts I already have (not including my WIP...)
5-MAKE ICONS!! OMG I NEED A YOITE ICON LIKE YESTERDAY!! (Pelli made me a gif from epi 4 to use on animesuki 8D) Also this will help get rid of all the jpg images Ive been saving for like a month...

Holy gawd! Nabari no Ou has some hotties in it! We finally meet Yoite in epi 3!

First of all, he wears black! Second he wears a hat! Third his seiyuu is Saiga Mitsuki!!!! (Makubex in GetBackers, Rossiu in TTGL, Wolfram in KKM) and he can kill ppl by just pointing at them O_O

Now Yen Press got Nabari and Higu and Del-Ray got SZS (not surprising since its a Kodansha publisher). Im glad Yen Press got Nabari since I really like their translation of Zombie-Loan and the fact they maintain honorifics, should be two good releases by them.

A word to Del-Ray....dont screw up SZS like you did vol 5 of Ghost Hunt (and parts of vol 6 & 7)!!!! This Itoshiki-sensei fangirl will not be pleased!!! Do not leave me in despair!! D:

Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed for Kuroshitsuji, Hanbun No Tsuki, BACCANO!, Sekirei and many many others 8D

Spring anime thoughts so far... (part 2)

Small update this time since Ive added a few shows to my too-watch list. Also more gushing about VK XD

Ok watched 2 new shows today...

Soul Eater (also I DO NOT read the manga so please dont spoil anything for me!! Its hard enough avoiding them on AS...)
Well aint this a weird little anime XD sapphire_pyro I totally blame you for this since I wasnt planning on watching this til you started posting screens to your lj XD Also it seems everyone on AS has a Death the Kid icon or something SE related plus the thread itself is approaching 1k+ posts after only 2 epis.
As with Nabari I had NO idea what to expect with this, its interesting. Basic concept is 3 teams made up of a human (they're human right?? well kinda??) and a weapon (but the weapn has a human form) have to collect 99 souls and 1 witches soul to form an Death Scythe (I think thats the basic idea XD). This is another anime that does a great job combining action with comedy. Also the art is very odd, almost comic like. The moon scares the hell outta XD Maka's dad cracks me up, gah he's a weirdo but I can see why Maka has a problem with men XD. After watching epi 2 I just might watch epi 3 raw when it comes out since Im inlove with Death the Kid already and Ive seen him for 20sec XD Son of Shinigami-sama with a neurotic perfection disorder XD AND HE'S VOICED BY MIYAMO MAMORU!!!! ~FANGIRLS~ I cant wait to see him. Depending on how good epi 3 is I might add this to my raw watching since after finishing epi 2 I was like...need more...
Im hoping Mifune is in more then just epi 2...hello samurai with coat on shoulders!!!

Seriously is this BL?? I wasnt aware of this!! Well mild BL but they kiss!! That was enough to send me out to lunch! XDD Ok first of all the seiyuu cast....awesome~~ I put this on my list way back when cuz I saw Ono Daisuke and Sawabe Junichi were the leads!! OMG Junichi your voice is so hella sexy as Shirogane!!! Its like BUTTER!! Also shadow!Akira...so much hotter then regular!Akira XD The girl, whose name escapes me...Aya...I think, annoys me a bit but good blend of comedy, action and subtle BL hints 8D Hopefully this will keep my attn for the entire series, dont plan on watching it raw though, Ill just follow the subs for now.

More spaztic thoughts on VK since I cant post what I really want to say about Zero at AS for fear of being flamed XDDD

After epi 2 can I just say...DEAR GOD ZERO CAN YOU BE ANYMORE EMO!!!! oh wait...yes he can XDDD I dont quite get why I dont like Zero's emo quality since its normally one of my fetish triggers. Zero is almost too emo at times and yes alot of what I saw in epi 2 is based on what I know about him now so its just rearing its ugly head right now. I cant look at the boy and not be like...stop being emo!!! I like angst, I like emo but with Zero is just doesnt cut it with me for some reason.
Oh dear Kaname...you are just way too hot for your own good...his little taunt to Zero made me melt, I love when he's evil since it doesnt happen that often. Ok well you know what I mean...

Well seems I was tagged by love_of_anime too so here are my answers...

1.) How about a brief introduction?

Hi my name is Yami and Im addicted to...oh wait wrong intro. But yes Im Yami, fairly new to fanfiction, my writing journal is kakyuu_no_yume feel free to browse it.

2.) Fabulous, and what got you into fanfiction to begin with?

~glares at a certain black clad narcissist~ Ghost Hunt. I had never read or even written fanficts before I started this anime. But since it took over my brain and didnt give it back, I slowly started thinking of ideas. But dont mistake this for me being new to writing Im not, Ghost Hunt was just my first dive into fanficts, Ive been writing orignal stuff for a long time.

3.) I see. So what kind of fanfiction do you like to write?

Ummm...basically it depends on what fandom Im writing. To put it simply I write canon-esque I guess. Though this only applies to fanficts, my orginal WIP is fantasy, rpg.

4.) Do you find writing easy? Hard? What are the aspects of writing you struggle most with?

It depends, sometime the faucet turns on and ideas flow outta me. Sometimes not. When Im in the zone I can crank out pages and pages but I seem to suffer from chronic writers block which usually stems from characters refusing to play nice, I stall for ideas or I have an idea but cant seem to get it outta my head. I struggle alot with getting what I see in my head onto paper. I visualize alot of what I write but then it seems when I try to put what I see on paper it never looks the same. Thats my biggest problem, well and the constant writers block...

5.) Write a few sentences or so of your favorite pairing or character.

oh god...

The sun beat down on the roof of Namimori middle school, Hibari decided relaxing out here was more important then actually attending class today. However, he quickly came to realize there was a shadow blocking his sun. Opening his eyes he saw Rokudo Mukuro standing over him.

6.) Are there any fanfiction clichés or trends you're sick of or just can't stand?

I dont think its a cliche but I HATE WHEN PPL WRITE OOC! Gah! My biggest complaint in the world of fanfiction...seriously we fell in love with these characters for a reason, dont change them! I also hate most pairing ficts, epsc ones that dont make sense...I dont bash ppl's pairing choices but some make me go O_o so I skip them.

Plot holes are another big one but I have yet to come across a fanfict that has them, mostly its my own personal opinion.

AU's Im not found off, I just dont see the point in them.

7.) Are you guilty of any fanfiction clichés you hate? Or any other ones?

Ok ok I admit, my TYL!Tsuna was midly OOC but again we dont know what he's like as Vongala Juudaime so I was speculating more.

8.) What was the first fandom you wrote for, and do you still like/participate in it?

First fandom I wrote was Ghost Hunt so again Im fairly new to fanfiction in general. Yes I do still right it since basically I only write GH and Hitman Reborn at this point minus a few requests of other fandoms Ive done.

9.) Name your OTPs or most frequently written pairings/characters and explain what it is about them that you love to write.

I actually hate the word OTP (thats a word?? well you know what I mean) I prefer pairings since I dont have a single OTP. Most frequent characters I write are Noll, Gene and Mai for Ghost Hunt, with the Irregulars making casual appearances. Hibari, Mukuro and Chrome for KHR and again other characters making little appearances. Only with KHR have I written pairings. There isnt really anything I love about them, mostly I find them easy to write since their all my fav characters from each series. Id love to write other characters but I feel I wouldnt do a good job.

10.) What would you call your writing style.

Ummm...bad? XD I dont think I really have a style, actually what do you all think my style is? As stated above, I guess my style is canon-esque, I only write something if I think it could possibly happen in the series since again as stated, I dont like OOC stuff.

11.) Do you read other people's fanfic? If so what do you find yourself reading the most?

Depends...I read KHR alot more then any other fandom right now but most of it is BL. But again if the fanfict writer states that its OOC or AU, I wont read it. If its a pairing I like Ill try it but if the first couple paragraphs or even lines dont get me Ill skip it, or again if the character comes off OOC.
Ghost Hunt is different, I rarely read GH ficts cuz 85% I dont like even if its a pairing I like. I dont like romance in GH, I dont like OOC!Naru, I dont like what I consider non-canon pairings in GH, I dont like alot of things. Picky? Hell yes I am. Not gonna apologize for that. I stay far away from ff.net cuz of this. GH is where I want canon the most, yes I like NaruMai but I dont want to see them getting it on or even kissing, I want canon. Other pairings I aint even going into...

whoa where'd this soapbox come from? ~gets down~

12.) Do you have trouble taking criticism? Or worse yet, do you have the dreaded bloated ego?

Honestly Id love for ppl to tell what what sucks about my fict XD I wish I got more comments on kakyuu_no_yume for that. I have no ego, I usually think my writing sucks. I will say that I do like that alot of readers have said that I write certain characters well, mostly from GH so I take that compliment very well.

13.) Name one thing you'd LOVE to write, but have been too afraid or shy to do.

Aki and Daisuke both talked about writing lemons. I dont even want to attempt a lemon, when I attempt smut/smex, Id like to keep it as subtle as possible but Id like to convey whats going on in description not with graphic detail. I could never write graphic NC-17 and I dont want to. kill_me_faster's 1896 and D18 are perfect examples of what Id love to convey in a good smex fict. My own 1896 Im working on but I wont hit even close to how great Demi's ficts where. ~~get's brick'd by Demi~~

14.) When you write, is there anything that helps? Music? A quiet room?

I always listen to music so Im used to writing with something going on in the background. I write when Im inspired, doesnt matter whats going on. When I get inspired it dont matter where I am, if it comes I write it down. This has happened to me in the car before XD

15.) What inspires you?

Alot of times music does, Ill hear song lyrics and a scene will pop into my head. My submission for mukuhiba and the 1896 fict Im working on were both inspired by songs. Fanart also helps too espc when other ppl and I start talking about it. Sometimes stuff just hits me, espc at night when Im trying to sleep, thats when Eugene-the-plot-penguin likes to bother me.

16.) Lastly, how would you sum up your fanfiction experiences and yourself as a writer?

Fanfiction experience? Well I guess Im glad people seem to like what I write. As a writer, I have much to learn and hopefully one day Ill write something that I can be totally proud of and my readers will like. Till then you guys are stuck with the subpar stuff Im writing now.

Ok seriously I dont know who I was more spaztic about seeing...the little flash of Hibari or Byaku!!! I guess Byaku a bit more since well we really have only seen him in the OP so far. Ive never done whatever you need to do to your browser to make Kanji show up properly with Firefox, never bothered since I cant read it anyways. Well for reasons unknown when I got home and opened AS's page I could see the Kanji characters instead of the normal ???? I get. I have no idea why since FF hasnt run an update in a while and only my virus software updated today. I noticed after someone posted something in the GH manga thread about vol 10....weird ne? Oh well I like the characters better then the question marks XD

Also if you have read sayuri_07's #2 caption for this weeks GHCG...read it...its freaking hilarious...I about died. Too lazy to post link just look at the post right below this one XD

The good: Hubby and I got our taxes done today. In the 7 years we've been filing we've NEVER gotten this much back! Maybe I should shut up about not making any money since the Gov gives you more back.

The bad: Of said money, most of it is going to hubby's mom in back rent...sigh...

Naru from Ghost Hunt. The only time (minus chibi!naru) we see him in something other then black. pj!naru got lots of buzz since us manga fans new it was coming. Ghost Hunt Pajama Tea Party insued as the epi aired and the fangirls were happy. Had to make an icon of it. I like guys in pjs. Made by me.

The Penguin from Penguin Prince manga. Its not a huge secret that penguins are my fav animal and have been for years and years. This was a gift from lkk-sensei since I made a comment at the end of chap 1 that the two holding hands with the penguin would be a great icon and she made it for me. Again, thank you Sensei. ^_^

Mai from Ghost Hunt. Generally used as my O_o or Huh/What? icon since Mai's expression just screams that. I like the animated text but Im half tempted to go back and make another one that just has everything on one frame. I was experimenting with text alot when I made this icon. I still like it though.
