First order of business, I FINALLY fulfilled Aki's GH req from way back in the spring when I was taking fict reqs.  But getting inspired after midnight while listening to Enya can pay off.

Second, Im not a movie person but I saw a preview for Tim Burton's adaptation of Sweeny Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street last night and nearly fell off my bed!  It looks so good!  One, Johnny Depp is gonna be Sweeny Todd and he looks awesome! Helena Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman are also gonna be in it :D  I may actually drag my behind into a theater to see this.  Course as we're watching the preview hubby says "What? He kills people?"  My response "Didnt you see the title!"  Now in all fairness to hubby he's probably never heard of it before so I let it slide XD.

Thirdly, time to recap all the new anime Ive been watching so far (this is where the post gets long, so time for an lj cut!)

Ok last thing, I dunno how many people saw the post on shibuya_pr yesterday about baka-tsuki having the GH novels on their teaser list.  Everyone who I told on irc last night hadnt seen it XD  So we could have novel translations soon but not holding my breathe til baka-tsuki offically makes it a current project but they have transed the Prologue and Chap 1 so far.  Chk the comm for the link.

Ghost Hunt 12 raw out today and though it was a bit different in terms from the manga it wasnt bad, bit too much talking though, was kinda hard to follow (SOMEONE SUB THIS SERIES FASTER!!) But Naru did look annoyed in it and thats always hot.  He does have long eyelashes.....


Went to the store today to see if vol 6 was in yet and its still not T_T  Also I love my new Ghost Hunt/Naru icon (thanks dest ^^)

Also came across an anime on the animesuki forums that read Ayatsuri Sakon - another dark and unusual series! (click link if you want too read up on it)  I like dark unusual series so I clicked the link.  Read a bit about the series, it orginally aired in '99 but is being subbed again by Seichi.  Series looked like it had potential and then I saw my selling point.  The orginal mangaka is Takeshi Obata-sensei!!!  Yep Im sold!! So far the series has been pretty easy to dl since there are seeders.  Ive watched the first 3 epis are it has a Ghost Hunt feel to it.  But the main draw it the main character's use of his puppet Ukon which does most of the speaking in the anime.  I hope this series is good so far Ive heard positive stuff about it.
